Alphabet and Kairos Select Tennessee for First Small Modular Reactor

Alphabet and Kairos Power have revealed Oak Ridge, Tennessee, as the site for their first small modular reactor (SMR). This project, in partnership with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), marks a significant step forward in nuclear power development. Additionally, TVA is progressing with plans for a BWRX-300 reactor, a larger 300MW facility at Clinch River, further emphasizing the commitment to advancing SMR technology.
