Altitude to Acquire 165,000t Carbon Removal Certificates from EcoGaia and Emisiones Neutras in Argentina
Altitude has committed to acquiring over 165,000 tons of CO2 Removal Certificates (CORCs) from biochar-based carbon removal facilities in Argentina, operated by EcoGaia and Emisiones Neutras. This procurement expands Altitude's global carbon removal portfolio.
The credits will be issued via the Puro Registry, ensuring transparency and verification. The facilities use advanced pyrolysis technology to convert forestry residues into durable carbon storage, permanently removing CO2 and providing benefits such as improved soil fertility and new revenue streams for farmers.
This agreement supports Altitude's strategy to finance large-scale carbon removal projects. EcoGaia and Emisiones Neutras have extensive experience in climate-positive infrastructure, and this commitment marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration to enhance biochar-based carbon removal in South America.
