Altris and Draslovka have partnered to create Europe's first industrial-scale sodium-ion cathode supply chain, with Draslovka investing 19.3 million euros to convert a production line in Kolín, Czech Republic. The facility aims to produce 350 tonnes of cathode active material annually, equivalent to 175 MWh of sodium-ion cell capacity, with production expected to begin in late Q3 or early Q4 2026. This initiative aligns with Europe's objectives to localize battery materials and reduce reliance on lithium supply chains.
