On February 12, 2026, Alliance Mining Commodities Guinea (AMC-G) signed three local development agreements with communities in Gaoual. The first two agreements are for the rural communes of Koumbia and Wendou M'Bour, affected by the Koumbia bauxite project, while the third covers all sub-prefectures in Gaoual.

The agreements aim to enhance local infrastructure and support socio-economic development. The Ministry of Mines and Geology was involved in their preparation, reflecting a commitment to sustainable community engagement.
