Ampeak Energy Secures Approval for 300 MW Battery Storage Project in Scotland

Ampeak Energy Ltd has received approval from Scottish ministers for its 300 MW battery storage project in northern Scotland, known as the Mey project. With financial close anticipated in 2027/2028 and operations expected to commence by the end of 2029, the project will add to a total of 2.93 GWh of consented battery storage capacity. Following the announcement, Ampeak's shares rose by 2.0% to 3.11 pence in London.
