Angola Launches $150 Million Inclusive Sanitation Project in Benguela Coast Cities

The Angolan National Water Directorate has launched a $150 million inclusive sanitation project in coastal cities of Benguela province, funded by the African Development Bank and the Angolan government. The five-year initiative aims to improve sanitation services in Lobito, Catumbela, Benguela, Navegantes, and Baía Farta, featuring upgrades to wastewater treatment plants and new infrastructure for informal settlements. Construction is set to begin soon, with the project expected to create local job opportunities and enhance community engagement.
