The town of Anklam, with a population of 12,000, is leading innovative efforts in industrial transformation by connecting economic perspectives with climate protection. Key initiatives include the biogeniV alliance, aimed at strengthening regional bioenergy, and the Anklam combined power plant, which plans to produce 20,400 tons of green hydrogen annually. The power plant will implement a 20 MW electrolysis facility by early 2027, eventually expanding to 240 MW, fostering new jobs and further industrial development.
