Anza Launches Transformer Procurement Service to Enhance Efficiency in Substation Equipment Sourcing
Anza has launched its Transformer Procurement Service to improve the procurement process for medium- and high-voltage transformers. Led by Felicity Lunden, Anza's new Director of Transformer Procurement, the service aims to provide developers, IPPs, EPCs, utilities, and data center developers with enhanced market visibility and efficiency.
Traditional procurement methods have been hindered by limited supplier networks and manual processes, leading to delays and significant price variances. The transformer supply chain currently faces long lead times, with medium voltage ranging from 9 weeks to 1 year and high voltage between 2-4 years.
Anza's service aggregates comprehensive data on products, suppliers, and supply chains, addressing the opacity and challenges of the existing procurement landscape. The company has previously supported over 8 GW of photovoltaic and 7 GWh of battery energy storage system purchase orders, expanding its scope into critical grid infrastructure.
