Local residents have filed an appeal against Nephin Renewable Gas's proposed 90,000-tonne anaerobic digestion plant in Corracunna, Cork, which received planning permission from Cork County Council. Opponents, including the newly formed Mitchelstown Biogas Concern Group, argue that the facility poses health and safety risks, increases traffic hazards, and negatively impacts air quality and scenic views of the Galtee Mountains.
