Approval for 1.5km Hydrogen Pipeline Linked to West Wales Hydrogen Project in Pembrokeshire
HYDROGENNATURAL GAS
Local planners have approved a 1.5km hydrogen pipeline in Pembrokeshire, part of the West Wales Hydrogen project, which includes a 20MW hydrogen production facility at the Impala Terminal. The facility will produce 1,875 tons of hydrogen annually through electrolysis, facilitating distribution to nearby customers and the South Hook LNG Terminal. A separate application for the southern pipeline route is pending under the Pembroke Coast National Park Authority, with the hydrogen intended to help decarbonize the LNG terminal's operations.
