Approval in Principle Granted for Innovative Hydrogen-Ready LCO Carrier by RINA and KOMAC

Korea Maritime Consultants Co. Ltd. (KOMAC) has received Approval in Principle (AIP) from RINA for a newly developed 40,000 CBM LNG-fueled hydrogen-ready liquid CO2 carrier.

This advancement highlights the potential of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies in facilitating decarbonization and achieving net-zero targets. The innovative vessel design, capable of producing hydrogen on demand, positions it as a significant player in the evolving LCO shipping market.
