Arbor Energy Secures $41 Million to Develop Carbon-Sequestering Biomass Power Plant for Louisiana Data Center

HYDROGENCARBON CAPTURE

Arbor Energy has announced a $41 million investment to construct its first commercial-scale power plant that will convert waste biomass into electricity for a Louisiana data center while sequestering carbon dioxide. The project, backed by Frontier, aims to remove 116,000 tons of CO2 by the end of the decade.

The innovative biomass carbon removal and storage technology (BiCRS) will utilize sustainably sourced biomass, with 99% of the emitted carbon captured during the process. This initiative could significantly reduce emissions and support the growing energy demands of data centers.
