Arca Climate Technologies Inc. and Giga Metals Corporation have entered into a 10-year agreement for carbon dioxide removal at the Turnagain Nickel Project in British Columbia, allowing Arca to evaluate ultramafic waste rock and mine tailings. The agreement, effective January 9, 2026, enables Arca to use its Industrial Mineralization technology, with the potential to permanently remove up to 220 million tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere. This initiative aligns with the Canadian government's 2022 Critical Minerals Strategy, which emphasizes the importance of nickel production.
