Arkadia Space's Ariel Engine Achieves Technological Readiness for European Space Propulsion Market
HYDROGEN
Arkadia Space's Ariel engine has achieved TRL 6 status, enabling its entry into the European space propulsion market. This 250 N monopropellant engine, which uses 98% hydrogen peroxide as a greener alternative to hydrazine, will first be employed in the attitude control system of MaiaSpace's future launchers. The project, part of the ESA's Future Launchers Preparatory Program, aims to provide safe and cost-effective propulsion solutions while reducing atmospheric emissions by up to 40%.
