Badirammogo Water User Association Launches Energy Infrastructure Programme in Limpopo, South Africa

The Badirammogo Water User Association (BWUA) is initiating a Regional Energy Infrastructure, Storage and Distribution Programme to combat energy instability affecting its members. The Limpopo Energy Users Association (LEUA) will oversee the project, which includes constructing a 300 MW pumped-storage hydropower facility and a 100 MW battery energy storage system, as well as developing transmission and distribution infrastructure. This initiative aligns with the R25-billion Olifants Management Model Programme and is expected to create jobs in the region.
