Queensland startup Banksia Minerals has been awarded up to $5 million in funding from ARENA to support a copper production pilot project. The project aims to enhance Australia's critical minerals capability and facilitate the transition to clean energy. The funding is part of ARENA's Advancing Renewables Program, delivered in two stages over three years, to assist in developing a pilot plant that processes low-grade copper efficiently while reducing energy use and emissions.
