BayWa r.e. has secured $416 million in funding for the JVR Energy Park, a solar and battery project in Jacumba, California, which will provide 90 megawatts of alternating current and 127 megawatts of direct current electricity. Expected to power approximately 57,000 homes and operational by autumn 2026, the project includes a 20-year power purchase agreement with San Diego Community Power and aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 500,000 metric tons over its lifespan.
