Bhupender Gupta has received a six-month extension as Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN Limited, as announced by the Ministry of Power, Government of India. With over 34 years of experience in the power sector, Gupta aims to enhance India's power supply through non-fossil fuel resources and the integration of advanced technologies like AI and green hydrogen. He has been with SJVN since 1995 and has played significant roles in major projects, including the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Plant.
