Bihar has launched the first phase of the ₹2,800 crore Kajra Solar Power Project in Lakhisarai, featuring a 185 MW solar plant and a 254 MWh battery storage system, completed at a cost of ₹1,810 crore. This phase enhances the state's renewable energy capacity and includes infrastructure for efficient power evacuation, with plans for a second phase adding an additional 116 MW and 241 MWh of storage by January 2027. Overall, the project aims to achieve a total capacity of 301 MW and 495 MWh of storage, supporting Bihar's clean energy objectives.
