BMW Launches New Electric iX3 and Fifth-Generation X5 in South Africa

BMW is expanding its South African lineup with the launch of the electric iX3 and the fifth-generation X5, which will feature five drivetrain options, including hydrogen fuel cell technology. CEO Peter van Binsbergen highlighted the company's 46% market share in the premium car sector and projected a 12% local sales growth in 2025. The iX3, arriving in the second half of 2025, will be the first model from BMW's Neue Klasse platform, integrating sixth-generation eDrive technology for improved efficiency.
