A bomb squad from Peterson Space Force Base removed a 100-pound munition-like object from Lake Pueblo State Park after it was discovered by a visitor two miles downstream from the Pueblo Reservoir dam. The heavily corroded and partially buried object was determined to be nonexplosive and posed no public threat, although it could have been dangerous if active. Authorities are awaiting confirmation of its identification from Peterson SFB.
