Brewers' Association of India Announces Rs 5,500 Crore Investment in Uttar Pradesh Beer Industry

The Brewers' Association of India (BAI) plans to invest Rs 5,500 crore in Uttar Pradesh over the next three years, focusing on greenfield units and ancillary industries. The investment includes two greenfield breweries costing Rs 1,500 crore, two aluminium can production plants at Rs 2,000 crore, and additional glass production units. The UP government's new excise policy for 2026-27 is expected to support this growth by maintaining beer taxes while slightly increasing spirits taxes.
