Bucharest National Airports Company Initiates 31.5 MW Photovoltaic Project at Henri Coanda Airport

The National Airports Company of Bucharest is launching a 31.5 MW photovoltaic project at Henri Coandă International Airport, which includes a 30 MWh energy storage system. The initial phase, costing 176.878 million RON with significant funding from the Modernization Fund, will feature a 12.6 MWp solar plant aimed at enhancing energy autonomy and reducing operational costs. The airport has also achieved Level 3 accreditation under the Airport Carbon Accreditation program for its commitment to managing and decreasing CO2 emissions.
