Governor Daniel Fernando emphasized that these initiatives aim to address the region's waste management issues while contributing to energy supply through public-private partnerships.

The DENR will facilitate support for local investments in biogas and promote tree planting efforts. Additionally, job creation initiatives have been implemented to support disadvantaged workers.
