Bumhan Mecatec has become the first domestic manufacturer in Korea to successfully localize and certify liquefied hydrogen storage tanks, enhancing the country's hydrogen industry competitiveness. The company completed the 'Liquid Hydrogen Storage Tank Development and Demonstration Project' under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's regulatory sandbox and received certification from the Korea Gas Safety Corporation (KGS) for both the storage tank and utilization facilities at -253℃.

Bumhan Mecatec demonstrated global top-tier performance in insulation, vacuum maintenance, and durability during the KGS verification process, bridging the technological gap with leading global firms. The company also established its own liquid hydrogen facility, enabling it to conduct in-house testing for future tanks. Selected as the supplier for SK's liquid hydrogen charging station project, Bumhan Mecatec aims to expand into various sectors, positioning itself as a key player in the global clean hydrogen market.
