Cabo Verde is positioned to produce 100,000 tonnes of hydrogen for sale to ships operating in the Atlantic, according to Blue Economy expert Gunter Pauli. This potential, leveraging wind and wave energy, was highlighted during Pauli's visit to the Mindelo Cruise Port as part of the 'Portfolio of Opportunities for the Islands of Cabo Verde' project, developed by Blue Innovation and Enapor. The hydrogen produced could supply large vessels between Europe and the United States, addressing the growing demand from transport and shipping companies seeking alternatives to diesel.
