Cadent has unveiled plans for the HEast Pipeline, a 150km underground project designed to supply low-carbon hydrogen to industries in the Humber, Lincolnshire, and Nottinghamshire regions. This initiative aims to support the transition from natural gas to hydrogen for sectors such as steel, chemicals, and food, and is part of the East Coast Hydrogen initiative. Public feedback will be sought later this year as the project progresses through the Government's Development Consent Order process, with a timeline of four to five years for completion.
