Calderdale Wind Farm Reduces Turbines to 34, Campaigners Continue Opposition
ENERGY STORAGEPOWER GRIDS & TRANSMISSION
Calderdale Wind Farm Ltd has scaled back its project plans, reducing the number of turbines from 41 to 34 and removing the battery energy storage system. This decision follows feedback from a consultation.
Despite these changes, campaigners, including local MP Robbie Moore, oppose the project, citing environmental concerns and the potential impact on local wildlife. The company aims to export around 240 MW of renewable electricity to the Bradford West substation and plans to hold a statutory consultation this spring.
