BIOFUELS

The University of Victoria's Accelerating Community Energy Transformation (ACET) initiative has partnered with the Estonian Islands Energy Agency to develop community-based clean energy solutions in the EU. This collaboration will focus on three key projects starting in 2026, addressing biogas, the social impacts of renewable energy, and local energy independence, with community engagement central to the research process. The initiative is partially funded by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund.
