Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced Canada's first five major infrastructure projects, a key component of his election campaign aimed at addressing trade tensions with the U.S. The newly established Major Projects Office will streamline regulatory reviews and promote investment, focusing on projects that enhance national interest and resilience.
The selected projects include initiatives in mining and energy, as well as a nuclear project in Ontario and the expansion of Montreal's container terminal. Further announcements are expected before the Grey Cup on November 16.
