Capstone Green Energy Holdings has installed a 6.6-MW combined heat and power microturbine system at a renewable energy facility in North Carolina, utilizing a pyrolysis process to convert swine waste into renewable biogas. The project, which includes one C600S microturbine and six C1000S microturbines, aims to generate renewable electricity and thermal energy, improve energy efficiency, and produce Carbon Emission Reduction credits, with final commissioning scheduled for March 2026. Additionally, it addresses odor control and aligns with local renewable energy objectives.
