Cenergi SEA Bhd and KLIA Aeropolis Sdn Bhd are collaborating to develop a 36 MW solar power plant with a 45 MWh battery storage system at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), aiming to produce approximately 46 GWh of clean electricity annually. This project, part of the Solar for Self-Consumption programme, will help reduce carbon emissions by around 35,000 tonnes per year and supports Malaysia's goal of achieving a 20% renewable energy mix by 2030 and Net Zero Carbon by 2050. It marks Cenergi's inaugural integration of battery storage with a large-scale solar facility.
