Charleston City Council Approves Funding for Road Resurfacing and Wastewater Treatment Upgrades

The Charleston City Council approved funding for various infrastructure projects, including road resurfacing estimated at $1,159,000, partially funded by a $975,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation. Other approved projects include a $42,000 contract for landscape waste recycling, $123,101 for wastewater treatment plant upgrades by Hydro-Kinetics Corporation, and a $50,000 grant for a lead pipe inventory with Farnsworth Group. Additionally, contracts for software and communication technologies were also approved.
