Charm Industrial Expands Carbon Removal Efforts with New Storage Site in Louisiana
CARBON CAPTURE
Charm Industrial is broadening its carbon removal initiatives by converting an abandoned oil and gas well in Louisiana into a long-term storage site for bio oil. This expansion adds 500,000 metric tons of storage capacity to the company’s existing operations in California, Colorado, and Kansas.
The well has received approval under a Class V injection permit, following assessments by regulators and community leaders. CEO Peter Reinhardt highlights Louisiana’s industrial legacy and skilled workforce as key factors for this strategic move, which utilizes existing fossil fuel infrastructure to facilitate carbon dioxide removal.
