Chesterfield Initiates $168M Upgrades at Proctors Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant

Chesterfield has begun a $168.3 million improvement project at the Proctors Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, including the construction of a 12 million gallon flow-equalization basin. The project, approved by the Board of Supervisors in September, aims to enhance wastewater management and support future growth. Completion is projected for 2031, doubling the plant's capacity from 27 million to 54 million gallons per day.
