China's Ningxia 6 GW Hybrid Photovoltaic Project in Coal Mining Subsidence Areas Begins Operations

The Ningxia 6 GW hybrid photovoltaic project has commenced operations, enhancing energy supply and ecological rehabilitation in desertified areas. It includes the Ningdong 2 GW and Lingwu 4 GW bases, covering an area of 16,000 football fields.
The project aims to meet the annual electricity needs of 7.2 million households and save 3.24 million tons of standard coal per year. It supports China's carbon neutrality goals and features 600 MW of energy storage capacity, improving the stability of new energy exports.
