China's renewable energy sector has achieved significant milestones, contributing to the global green transition with a 35% share of total power generation in 2024 and an installed capacity of 1.89 TW. The sector, driven by state-owned enterprises, accounted for 52% of new renewable capacity in 2023, while technological advancements have drastically reduced costs for photovoltaic and wind power. Additionally, over 6,000 green factories have been established, and 10.15 million new energy vehicles were sold in 2025.
