Chinese scientists have created a flexible organic lithium-ion battery suitable for wearable electronics, offering stable performance in extreme temperatures ranging from below freezing to 80 degrees Celsius. This innovation addresses safety and cost issues associated with conventional lithium-ion batteries by utilizing stable organic materials that are easier to synthesize and recycle. The research, led by Xu Yunhua and Huang Fei, was published in Nature on February 18.
