Clearway Energy Group has commenced construction of the 199 MW Spindle Energy Center in Weld County, Colorado, utilizing Tesla batteries. The facility will store 398 MWh of dispatchable power, providing flexible energy to the grid.

A long-term contract with Public Service Company of Colorado ensures reliable power dispatch. The $261 million project, financed by a consortium of banks, aims to create nearly 80 local jobs and generate over $12 million in tax revenue for community services. The facility will also contribute $20,000 annually to local organizations.
