Cluj-Napoca to Establish Romania's First Green Hydrogen Plant as Part of Transylvania Hydrogen Valley Initiative
HYDROGENSYNTHETIC FUELS
Cluj-Napoca is set to establish Romania's first Green Hydrogen Plant as part of the Transylvania Hydrogen Valley Initiative, with an annual production capacity of 153 tons through water electrolysis. This project, which supports the city's goal of a 100% green fleet by 2028, involves collaboration among research, public administration, and industry, and will also serve as an experimental platform for the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. The first hydrogen production is anticipated by 2027, alongside plans for additional hydrogen refueling stations.
