Coolkeeragh BES Ltd., a subsidiary of ABO Energy NI Ltd., has filed planning documents for a 140MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Northern Ireland, aimed at enhancing renewable energy integration during peak demand. The project will utilize Lithium Iron Phosphate battery technology and is located near the existing Coolkeeragh substation, with plans to stabilize the electricity network by storing excess wind energy.
