Cost of Hume Recycling Plant Rises to Nearly $37 Million with Veolia Partnership

The new recycling plant in Hume will cost approximately $37 million, $11 million above the initial estimate of $26 million. Funded by the ACT and Federal governments, Veolia will design, build, and operate the facility under an $850 million deal. The plant aims to process up to 115,000 tonnes of recyclables annually and is expected to be operational by 2028.
