NUCLEAR
A Czech company has won a public tender to supply new turbine generator sets for the Temelín nuclear power plant, valued at several billion Czech koruna. These generators, weighing over 2,000 tons, will enhance the plant's output and contribute to its longevity.
The initiative aims to replace aging equipment while supporting the Czech Republic's commitment to nuclear energy, which currently accounts for 34% of its electricity. Plans for future expansion include new gigawatt units and small modular reactors.
