Davao City Councilor Temujin Ocampo has proposed an ordinance to provide incentives for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers and battery recycling facilities, including a 100% local business tax exemption for the first three years of operation. The ordinance aims to enhance business operations while promoting proper recycling of EV batteries, coinciding with the growing EV market in the Philippines, which is projected to reach 35,000 registrations by the end of the year.
