STRATEGIC MINERALS
Deccan Gold Mines (DGM) is set to commence drilling for critical minerals, including nickel, copper, and platinum group elements in Chhattisgarh, India, as well as lithium and tantalum in Mozambique, this quarter. The company plans to establish small-scale processing facilities by mid-2027 and aims to produce over 0.5 tonnes of gold within the next 12-18 months. DGM's managing director has called for improved recognition of grassroots exploration in India's mining policies to facilitate clearer pathways to mining rights and fiscal incentives.
