DeltaSpark, an EPFL startup, has developed a compact system that converts CO2 emissions into solid minerals and clean hydrogen using patented electrolysis methods, capable of processing two metric tons of CO2 daily. This technology, designed for installation at emission sources, reduces carbon capture costs and offers economic benefits through its byproducts, which can be used in sustainable construction and energy. The founders aim to market the solution amid increasing carbon taxes in Switzerland, having secured significant funding for its development.
