DEWA Unveils 2GW PV and 8.4GWh Storage in Seventh Phase of Solar Park

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched the seventh phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which will add 2,000 MW of photovoltaic capacity and a 1,400 MW battery storage system, totaling 8,400 MWh. This expansion aims to enhance Dubai's clean energy contribution, increasing the solar park's capacity to over 8,000 MW and supporting DEWA's goal of achieving a 36% clean energy share in the city's energy mix by 2030.
