DHL and CMA CGM Launch Joint Biofuel Initiative for Ocean Freight Decarbonization
BIOFUELS
DHL Global Forwarding and CMA CGM have launched a joint initiative using 8,990 metric tonnes of second-generation biofuel to reduce approximately 25,000 metric tonnes of CO2e emissions in ocean freight. This collaboration supports customers in lowering supply chain carbon intensity and aligns with both companies' commitment to achieving net-zero GHG emissions by 2050. CMA CGM will implement the biofuel across its fleet, furthering efforts to enhance lower-carbon fuel utilization in international shipping.
