DI Dongil Invests 110 Billion Won in Cheongju Facility for LFP Battery Materials

DI Dongil plans to invest 110 billion won in a new facility at its Cheongju Aluminum Plant to produce carbon-coated aluminum foil for Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries. The investment will occur in stages from February 2026 until 2030, starting with 20 billion won this year. The facility aims to enhance competitiveness in the global battery materials market and is expected to produce 25,000 metric tons of foil annually by 2030, generating approximately 250 billion won in new sales.
