The Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) has approved a joint venture between MOIL Ltd and Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation Limited (MPSMCL) for manganese mining in Madhya Pradesh, with a shareholding structure of 51% for MOIL and 49% for MPSMCL. This collaboration, which has received in-principle approval from the Ministry of Steel, aims to enhance manganese ore mining and support economic growth and employment in the region. A draft agreement was signed in October 2024, and final clearance has now been obtained.
